Starting a foundation in honor of my son was never part of life I imagined. Like so many other grieving mothers, I would give anything to have him here instead. After losing Kolton, I realized that wouldn’t change our story, but I could choose how his legacy would continue. This foundation isn’t just about giving gifts or raising money. It’s about creating magical moments for children and families who are walking a path we know all too well. It’s about easing burdens, celebrating another holiday together and reminding parents that they are not alone during some of the hardest days of their lives.

As a father, you dream of teaching your child about the world, watching them grow, and being there for every milestone. Losing Kolton changed my life forever, but it also changed the way I view community and family. Starting Kolton’s Klubhouse was my way of keeping his spirit alive. This foundation is about honoring his spirit and helping families that are going through the unimaginable. By creating moments of happiness for the children and memories for the parents, we have achieved one of our lifelong goals.

Kolton blessed me by making an Aunt for the very first time. During my short time with him on this earth, I learned how precious time is. My goal is to support Kolton’s Foundation by sharing development goals and implementing strategic marketing incentives to gain awareness. I’m looking forward to making a positive impact on what is to come with this foundation. Kolton was my first nephew and being able to use my degree to make his foundation everything he deserves is the most honoring thing I could do. Family is such a sacred subject and relationships help strengthen our mental well- being and provide comfort in times of need, especially when we lose a loved one.

Victoria is a lifelong friend, whom I consider family. When Kolton was born, I learned that even the biggest changes in life developed relationships further. Kolton was like a nephew to me and losing him was far from easy. My goal within Kolton’s Klubhouse is to expand our borders, create friendly merchandise and give others the chance to support an outstanding cause. I want to convey Kolton’s bright smile and bubbly attitude within all of the pieces we create. In addition, these items will continue to fund the families who need it most.
